Camera Museum
WestLicht has a unique collection of cameras of historical and technical value. The permanent exhibit of cameras, consisting of items on loan from private collections and the WestLicht collection, comprises about 360 models from all epochs. In chronological order, it presents the milestones of camera technology, beginning with the precursors of photography (drawing and projection devices) and ranging to the beginnings of digital photography. The camera museum’s most historically valuable specimen is the world’s first commercially produced camera – the “Susse Frères Daguerréotype”
